Riding the Subway + Buying Tickets
In China there are many ways to buy tickets and use public transport.
Buying tickets for the subway is easy. Every subway station has ticket machines, and you can also buy tickets at the ticket counter. If you are in China for a short amount of time, this is a good choice. You can buy a ticket each time you want to make a journey instead of putting money on a card that you might not use again.
If you’re in China for a longer period of time, buying a transport card is a good idea. Each city has its own card. Before, this was mainly seen in the form of an actual card, but now more people have it on their phone, and all they have to do is swipe their card to ride the subway.
