高考
高考是中国的大学入学考试，也是中国最重要的国家考试之一。考的课程包括语文、数学、外语三门课程。一般来说，外语指的是英语。每到六月份，那就是高考时间，中国所有高三的学生都会忙于复习。高考的重要性也体现在政府的行为上。比如，高考的时候，考生能在上海免费和优先坐地铁。
Gaokao
‘Gaokao’ is China’s college entrance examination, and is one of the most important Chinese state exams. The three subjects that are examined include Chinese language, mathematics and a foreign language. Usually this foreign language is English. Every June, when the gaokao takes place, all third year high school students in China will be busy with studying and revising. The importance of the gaokao is seen in the actions of the government. For example, at exam time in Shanghai, exam-taking students could take the subway for free, and with priority access.
